The Authoritative Templates (.admx files) for Windows x are available for download the Microsoft Download Center. The Authoritative templates for Windows 10 support Windows Server, Windows 8.ane, Windows 7, and Windows 10. Group Policy Object Editor in versions before Server 2008 and Windows Vista are unable to display ADMX files.

Administrative Templates (ADMX) for Windows 10

Group Policy tools use Administrative template files to populate policy settings in the user interface. They are basically registry-based policy settings that appear in the Local Grouping Policy Editor, nether Authoritative Templates in the Calculator and User Configuration nodes. This allows administrators to manage registry-based policy settings.

Introduced in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista, ADMX files (Authoritative Templates) are used by Grouping Policy in Windows. These are XML-based files and come with an .admx extension. These files aid users/administrators to manage registry-based group policy settings on their Windows PCs and also permit administrators to manage registry-based policy settings.

There are some new Group Policy settings:

Click on the Download push to download the .msi file containing the .admx files.
Click Relieve in the File Download dialog box.
Browse the directory and select the location where you desire to salvage your .msi file.
Click Salve and file starts downloading.
Run the .msi installer to install the Authoritative Templates on your PC one time you are done with the download.

The Administrative Templates are released in 13 different languages which are Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, French, Hungarian, Japanese, Castilian, Korean, Finnish, Italian, and Norwegian. This download contains many files, and yous may need to select the files yous need in one case yous click on the Download push button. It requires user rights to run the Group Policy Management Editor (gpme.msc) or the Grouping Policy Object Editor (gpedit.msc).
