Through this method, players are able to bring over a limited amount of Pokemon fromPokemon GotoPokemon Home once a week.Pokemon Home allows players to keep their Pokemon safe and transfer them over to other entries in the series in the future. To celebrate this event,players were able to obtain a Max IV Melmetal. The Shiny version was available for a bit.

WhenPokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee released, Meltan was the only new Pokemon to make its debut in the game. It's currently unknown what region the Pokemon originates from since it debuted in a Kanto game. Although when connecting withPokemon Go, players were given a Mysterious Box. This Box would cause Meltan to spawn inPokemon Go for an hour and players can continue to capture them for candy. Now, the box has made a return with thePokemon Home collaboration. This is how players will be able to obtain a Shiny Melmetal.

How To Find (& Catch) A Shiny Melmetal in Pokemon Go

Currently, Shiny Meltan has been patched out of the game. This was a special event that only occurred for a limited-time. Although, it is likely Shiny Meltan will return to the game again in the future when another event occurs. Every 72 hours, players have the chance to use the Mysterious Box. Players should be able to find it in their inventory when connecting to aPokemon Home account. Now, activating this box will cause Meltan to begin to spawn. The best thing to do is to use Pinap Berries until you have over 400 Meltan Candy. This is how much candy is needed to evolve Meltan into Melmetal. Now, just continue to tap the Meltan and run away if they aren't Shiny. Repeat this process until a Shiny version appears. If time runs out, players will need to wait a day to try and do this again. It may take a while, but the reward is worth it. Once the player finds the Shiny Meltan, give it the 400 candy and it will evolve into Shiny Melmetal.
